Highlights from the Kāpiti Baby and Child Show 2017
If you've been following us on Facebook you'll know we were recently lucky enough to be Gold Sponsors for the inaugural Kāpiti Baby and Child Show.
Why did we sponsor the baby show?
Well other than the obvious benefit in getting our name out there with local parents, the show also had a charitable purpose which we support.
The Show raised money for Little Sprouts - a neat wee charity that gives away life-changing boxes of baby items to vulnerable families, containing everything a baby needs at birth, plus health and safety items, safe sleep spaces, strollers, baby baths, high chairs and more!
What was the baby show like?
With over 600 attendees, we think it's fair to say the Show was a big hit with local families, and we thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it.
We had a lot of people visit our stall and ask questions about the shop and our products which was AWESOME! We even made a few sales, despite our lack of EFTpos facilities (thank you for your understanding).
As busy parents ourselves, the show was also a great opportunity for a spot of Christmas shopping and a bit of fun. I'm sure my daughter will love the princess dress I bought from Baby Phunk for her - sure to be a hit on Christmas morning.
We also loved how much there was to do, as there was quite a variety of stall holders. Our children really loved engaging with the play space courtesy of Play Centre, and burrowing in the cocoa husks that Lollipop Educare brought to the show (they smelt so good).
We're really lucky that the Kāpiti Coast has a vibrant mix of small businesses, and the show demonstrated that. We're excited about some of the business connections we were able to make at the show. We've already lined up a few new stockists, and will have to write separate blog posts on those connections soon.
