The Maxi-Cosi European range of car-seats are innovative and safe. It's a true pleasure to be able to bring them to Wellington and share them with parents here.
The first thing you'll notice about the range is that the seats are beautiful, with sophisticated, stylish, and limited edition colours. There are a range of deluxe and premium fabrics and colours, and it's easy to think "that's why these seats are special". But that's not the number one reason these seats are special.
These seats are special because Maxi-Cosi have created amazingly safe car-seats, which are also easy to install. The "fool proof" design quirks are what we love most because often parents have perfectly safe car-seats, but it's the install that makes them dodgy.
Your child's safety is a priority. That's the whole reason you buy a car seat - to keep them safe and protected in the event of an accident.
Maxi-Cosi have three decades of safety experience, and have invested significantly into developing easy and practical ways to safely transport children by car. They are constantly innovating and testing their car seats, to make them even safer, even more comfortable, even more convenient, and even easier to use.
In our opinion, an easy to use seat is key for most families. If your car seat is easy to install correctly, it's easier to use correctly. A car seat used correctly, in the conditions it's been tested to, is the best place for your child when travelling by car.
It also gives you confidence because you know you can install the car-seat, and so can other adults who collect your child by car. If you have any concerns at all, here at Baby Box we have Child Restraint Techs available to both install your seat for you and (more importantly in our opinion) teach you and other carers how to install and use your car seat safely.

What is i-Size?
i-Size are European car seat regulations, developed using the very latest research into child safety in cars.
- i-Size requires ISOFIX, which has less chance of being installed incorrectly than vehicle belts.
- i-Size requires car seats remain rearward facing to a minimum of 15 months.
- i-Size seats are compatible with all cars with ISOFIX.
- i-Size provides improved protection in side and front impact collisions, with greater protection for your child's head and neck.
What is ISOFIX?
ISOFIX is an internationally standardised car seat fitting system that provides a rigid, permanent connection between the child's car seat and the car. This in turn minimises the risk of incorrect installation. Isofix provides the safest, easiest and quickest way to fit a child car seat correctly, without using a seat belt.
