How does the Snuzpod 4 compare to the Snuzpod 3?
If you're wondering how the Snuzpod 4 compares to the earlier Snuzpod 3, you're in the right place! This article breaks down what's changed so you can make the best decision for your family.
The Snuzpod 4 is tested to a newer and better safety standard
The new Snuzpod 4 has been tested to the BS EN 1130:2019 standards. This means that the zip down wall is to half-height (which has the added bonus of making it easier to check on baby compared to having to zip down the wall fully like you might with the Snuzpod 3). The fact that your bassinet has been tested to a better safety standard is definitely a reassuring factor for new parents.
The Snuzpod 4 fits more beds
The Snuzpod is designed to work either as a stand alone bassinet, or as a co-sleeper. The great news is that the Snuzpod 4 works with almost every bed, and is height adjustable to reach up to an adult mattress height of 73 cm. The included straps work well with a variety of bed types too, so much so that Snuzpod say they fit more beds than any other co-sleeper bassinet (as at April 2021).
The Snuzpod 4 is more breathable, with a new ComfortAir system
This new system helps better regulate baby's temperature, for a good night's sleep. A combination of unique air-flow vents, air-permeable mesh liner, and base ventilation designed to increase airflow around baby for your peace of mind. The new included 3D breathable mattress is also great for keeping air flowing around baby.
The most popular features have been retained.
Both SnüzPod 3 and SnüzPod 4 feature the following awesome features:
- The ability to use them as a stand alone bassinet crib, or as a co-sleeping bedside crib,
- A reflux incline option and lift-off bassinet for use around the home.
- The area underneath the crib, for storage.
- A decent length, suitable for most babies up until the age they sit up and start climbing.
- Awesome options in sheets - and the sheets will fit both the Snuzpod 3 and the Snuzpod 4.
